About the role
As an Outreach Worker you will be providing 1-to-1 support to children, young people and families in their own homes and in the community outside of business hours in evenings and weekends. Key examples of risks: running away, threatening or aggressive behaviour, in some cases, particularly where exploitation is a concern e.g young person could be followed/approached by others whilst out.
As a Outreach Worker you will independently support children and young people with SEND, some may display high levels of challenging and impulsive behaviour that would require forward planning, quick thinking and confidence to carry out appropriate support.
