Senior Therapeutic Intervention Worker- Part time
This post will be based across Windsor, Teddington, Surbiton within provider services , children’s homes. Care offered includes: Responding to times of crises, supporting the team, ensuring a therapeutic environment for the children, supporting the children, ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures adhered to, ensuring the upkeep of the home is maintained, liaising with agencies, stakeholders and services associated with the home
About the role
The role entails safeguarding the well-being of all children in the home, addressing issues promptly, and acting as a key worker for identified children. Collaborating with the team, providing guidance on effective care practices, and managing challenging behaviors are essential. Communication with social workers, schools, and relevant professionals is vital for consistent care whilst building relationships with relatives and advocates
About you
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Experience in leading a team, undertaking line management, performance management and change management.
- Knowledge of relevant theory that informs practice delivery.
- Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families. Advocating the voices of those we are working with.
- Proven ability to effectively use data, intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight and to inform own decision making.
- Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, and written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).
- Experience of addressing specific equality or diversity issues within your practice with colleagues/service users and taking action to solve them

Start dates: Achieving for Children have set start dates meaning successful candidates join on a set date in each month. Candidates are advised to prepare for this should a job offer be accepted to ensure eligible continuous service is not affected.
